Treehouse Titan's Toaster Tarts
These homemade toaster pastries are a nostalgic treat with a flaky crust and a sweet, fruity filling. Far superior to store-bought, they’re perfect for a special breakfast or a playful afternoon snack.

Directions
- 1
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2
Unroll one sheet of puff pastry onto a lightly floured surface. Roll it out slightly to about 1/8 inch thick.
- 3
Cut the pastry into 8 equal rectangles (about 3x4 inches each). Repeat with the second sheet of puff pastry to get another 8 rectangles.
- 4
Spread approximately 1 tablespoon of your desired fruit jam onto the center of 8 of the pastry rectangles, leaving a small border around the edges.
- 5
Place the remaining 8 pastry rectangles on top of the jam-covered ones. Use a fork to crimp and seal the edges all the way around, creating a decorative seal.
- 6
Carefully transfer the tarts to the prepared baking sheet. Using a small knife, cut two or three small slits in the top of each tart to allow steam to escape.
- 7
Brush the tops of the tarts with the beaten egg.
- 8
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
- 9
While the tarts are baking, prepare the icing: In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add more milk, a tiny bit at a time, if needed to reach a pourable but thick consistency.
- 10
Once baked, remove the tarts from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack. While still slightly warm, drizzle with the prepared icing. Add sprinkles immediately if desired.
- 11
Serve warm or at room temperature. Store any leftover tarts in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
