Gnasty Gnorc's Gemstone Glaze Chicken
Inspired by the vibrant, sparkling gems and the fiery breath of a certain purple dragon, this dish features tender chicken thighs coated in a sweet, sticky, and slightly spicy glaze that shimmers with deep color. It's a surprisingly simple dish that delivers big on flavor, much like an unexpected power-up. Good enough to make even a grumpy grumbly gnorc crack a smile.

Directions
- 1
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- 2
Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and black pepper.
- 3
In a medium bowl, whisk together the blackberry jam, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, sriracha, minced garlic, grated ginger, thyme, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- 4
Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken thighs for 3-4 minutes per side, until nicely browned.
- 5
Transfer the seared chicken to the prepared baking sheet. Pour about half of the glaze evenly over the chicken.
- 6
Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven, brush with the remaining glaze, and return to the oven.
- 7
Continue baking for another 10-15 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) and the glaze is bubbly and caramelized.
- 8
Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- 9
Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving alongside rice or roasted vegetables.
