
Gnasty Gnorc's Gemstone Glaze Chicken
Inspired by the radiant magic of Avalar's gemstones, this dish features succulent chicken thighs coated in a vibrant, sweet, and tangy glaze. The rich color and sparkling finish evoke the precious treasures found throughout the realms, making for a truly celebratory main course.

Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt and black pepper.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, grated ginger, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using).

Pour half of the marinade over the chicken thighs in a shallow dish or resealable bag. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Remove chicken from the marinade, discarding the used marinade.

Heat the sesame oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken thighs for 3-4 minutes per side, until nicely browned.

Whisk the cornstarch and cold water together in a small bowl to create a slurry. Add the remaining marinade and chicken broth to the skillet with the chicken, bringing it to a simmer.

Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy, about 2-3 minutes. Ensure sauce coats the chicken.

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
