Fairy Godmother's Glazed Apple Pies
These individual apple pies are a charming and comforting dessert, like a sweet magical spell. Featuring tender baked apples nestled in a flaky crust, finished with a glistening, sweet glaze, they are a perfect ending to any meal. Shaped to be delightfully rustic.

Directions
- 1
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Unroll the pie crusts onto a lightly floured surface.
- 2
In a medium bowl, combine the diced apples, granulated sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir until the apples are evenly coated.
- 3
Cut each pie crust into 4 equal squares. Spoon about 1/4 cup of the apple mixture onto the center of each square.
- 4
Drizzle 1/2 teaspoon of melted butter over the apple filling on each square.
- 5
Bring opposite corners of each square together over the filling, pinching firmly to seal and create a small, rustic pastry. Gently crimp the edges to ensure a tight seal.
- 6
Place the assembled pies on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops of each pie with the beaten egg wash.
- 7
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly. Remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack.
- 8
While the pies cool, prepare the glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Adjust milk for desired consistency.
- 9
Once pies have cooled slightly, drizzle generously with the prepared glaze. Allow the glaze to set before serving.
- 10
Serve warm or at room temperature. These pies are best enjoyed the day they are made for optimal flakiness.
