Directions

  1. 1

In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken or turkey, shredded cabbage, diced carrots, minced ginger, minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and white pepper. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

  2. 2

Take one dumpling wrapper and place a small spoonful (about 1 teaspoon) of the filling in the center.

  3. 3

Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water using your finger. Fold the wrapper in half to form a half-moon shape, pressing firmly to seal the edges.

  4. 4

You can leave them as half-moons or create pleats along the sealed edge for a decorative finish.

  5. 5

Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

  6. 6

Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil. Carefully add a single layer of dumplings, ensuring they are not overcrowded.

  7. 7

Cook for 4-6 minutes, or until the dumplings float to the surface and the internal temperature of the filling reaches 165°F (74°C).

  8. 8

Remove the cooked dumplings with a slotted spoon and place them on a serving platter.

  9. 9

Serve immediately with a side of soy sauce, rice vinegar, and a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds and green onions for garnish.

  10. 10

For an extra kick, add a dash of chili oil to your dipping sauce.
