Furious Five Dumpling Feasting Platter
A vibrant assortment of pan-fried and steamed dumplings, perfect for sharing among friends or for a celebratory meal. Each dumpling is packed with flavorful fillings, offering a satisfying bite whether dipped in a tangy sauce or enjoyed on its own.

Directions
- 1
In a large bowl, combine ground pork, Napa cabbage, chives, ginger, 2 teaspoons soy sauce, 1 teaspoon sesame oil, and white pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly incorporated.
- 2
To fill dumplings, place about 1 teaspoon of filling in the center of each wrapper. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water.
- 3
Fold the wrapper in half to form a semicircle, pinching the edges together firmly to seal. You can create pleats along the top edge for a decorative finish.
- 4
For pan-frying: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Place dumplings in a single layer, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.
- 5
Cook for 2-3 minutes, until the bottoms are golden brown. Add 1/2 cup of water to the skillet, immediately cover, and steam for 5-7 minutes, until the water has evaporated and dumplings are cooked through.
- 6
For steaming: Arrange dumplings in a single layer in a bamboo steamer basket lined with parchment paper or cabbage leaves. Place over simmering water, ensuring the water does not touch the bottom of the basket.
- 7
Steam for 8-10 minutes, or until the filling is cooked and the wrappers are translucent and tender.
- 8
While dumplings cook, prepare the dipping sauce: Whisk together rice vinegar, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, sugar, and chili flakes in a small bowl.
- 9
Serve the cooked dumplings immediately with the dipping sauce on the side. Offer a mix of pan-fried and steamed for variety.
