    Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare vanilla cake mix according to package directions using egg, oil, and water. Pour batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan.

    Bake for 28-32 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool completely in the pan.

    Once cooled, crumble the entire cake into a large bowl. Add the vanilla frosting and mix with your hands until well combined and dough-like.

    Roll the cake mixture into approximately 1-inch balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.

    Melt the white chocolate melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth. If too thick, stir in coconut oil, 1 teaspoon at a time.

    Dip the tip of each lollipop stick about 1/2 inch into the melted chocolate, then insert it into a cake ball, going about halfway through. This acts as a 'glue'.

    Dip each cake pop into the melted white chocolate, rotating to fully coat. Gently tap off excess chocolate. Immediately sprinkle with shredded coconut.

    Place the coated cake pops upright in a block of styrofoam or a tall glass to set. Repeat with remaining cake pops. Once all are coated, refrigerate again for 15-20 minutes to fully set the chocolate.

    Once hardened, use a black edible food marker to draw small eyes and a nose outline onto each cake pop to resemble a crystal skull. Alternatively, attach small edible eyes with a tiny dab of melted chocolate.
