These delightful muffins are packed with a medley of forest berries and crunchy nuts, reminiscent of foraging through an ancient, magical wood. They are a perfect grab-and-go snack or a hearty breakfast to fuel any adventure.

Directions
- 1
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners.
- 2
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- 3
In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the egg, buttermilk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- 4
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently with a spoon until just combined; do not overmix. A few lumps are fine.
- 5
Gently fold in the mixed berries and chopped nuts until evenly distributed.
- 6
Divide the batter evenly among the 12 muffin cups, filling each about two-thirds full.
- 7
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean and the tops are golden brown.
- 8
Let the muffins cool in the muffin tin for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- 9
Serve warm or at room temperature. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
