Directions
- 1
First, prepare a simple syrup: In a small saucepan, combine the granulated sugar with 1 cup of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
- 2
In a large pitcher, combine the cooled simple syrup, fresh lemon juice, muddled raspberries, 4 cups of cold water, and vanilla extract.
- 3
Stir well to combine all ingredients. For a more intense pink color, add a few drops of red food coloring, if desired.
- 4
Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary; add more simple syrup for a sweeter drink, or more lemon juice for a tarter one.
- 5
Place the pitcher in the refrigerator and chill for at least 1 hour, or until thoroughly cold.
- 6
To serve, fill glasses with ice. Pour the pink lemonade concentrate about halfway.
- 7
Top off each glass with sparkling water or club soda for a delightful fizz.
- 8
Garnish each serving with a fresh lemon slice and a few whole raspberries.
- 9
Serve immediately and enjoy the playful, effervescent experience.
